disease?<\/h3>\n<p>Little or nothing we know of these diseases called rare, by minority and infrequent. And yet, there are more than 7,000 and any <b> of us can develop them. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>The <b> Rare Diseases <\/b>, including those of genetic origin, are those diseases with danger of death or chronic disability, which have a low frequency or prevalence (less than 5 cases per 10,000 inhabitants), according to the definition of the European Union.<\/p>\n<p>Today, there is a <b> lack of medical response and serious diagnostic problems. <\/b><\/p>\n<h3>Goals<\/h3>\n<p>The <b> ISABEL GEMIO FOUNDATION for the Research of Muscular Dystrophies and other Rare Diseases &lt;\/ b&gt; directs its efforts initially to the following aspects:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Financing and promotion of openings of <b> Scientific Research Projects for the study of rare diseases. <\/b><\/li>\n<li><b> Contribution to the training of researchers and professionals <\/b>. weird, We are all unique&#8221; together with the Federation ASEM and FEDER with the active support of the Ministry of Health, Social Affairs and Equality in the framework of the National Year of Rare Diseases .
